Eric Dixon - Four Decades of Trial Advocacy

Eric Dixon is a veteran trial attorney who has practiced for decades in eastern New Mexico. Recognized for his courtroom skills and teaching abilities, Eric Dixon has spent more than 40 years building a reputation as a trial lawyer, educator, and mentor.

Eric Dixon began his legal career with the Fifth Judicial District Attorney's Office, prosecuting felony and misdemeanor cases in Lea, Eddy, and Chaves counties. In 1985, he was appointed Special Assistant United States Attorney for New Mexico, where he prosecuted a significant federal narcotics case arising from Eddy County. The investigation eventually resulted in the prosecution of a former state attorney general.

Since 1990, he has practiced as a solo attorney through Eric D. Dixon, Attorney and Counselor at Law, P.A. His work has included trial and appellate advocacy, employment discrimination, civil rights, personal injury, and other civil and criminal matters in state and federal courts. He has also litigated cases in Texas and Colorado.

Beyond his practice, Eric Dixon has taught business, employment, and criminal law at colleges and universities and lectures nationally on trial techniques, ethics, and litigation strategy. His community service includes extensive pro bono work, charitable board service, and mentoring aspiring attorneys.
